Lasiter, Laciter or Lassiter

I know this is mainly about Missouri and Tenn but my gggrandfather was born in Tennessee and his wife as well.
His name was Joseph Lasiter spelled (Laciter sometime) born 1834 TN
Her name Nancy Rogers daughter to Dean and Purity Rogers on the 1850 census in Rutherford Tenn. On the 1870 census in Missouri the Laciters Alex was born in North Carolina living down the street from Nancy Lasiter, with other Lasiters on the same street.

Attached is the post I put on the Missouri forum with what information I have. Hoping someone can help me.

I have hit a blank wall and am need of some help from people who are good at this.
My gggrandmother Nancy Rogers married Joseph Lasiter, when I don't know but their first child was born 1854 in Missouri. Here is what I have
1860 census Nancy and Joseph, Buck Prairie Missouri
Children Angeline,Mary L, Stephen, Jane
1870 census Nancy without Joseph and those 4 children in Pierce Stone Co.
I don't know if Joseph went to the service, died or just left. I have been unable to find him or his parents.
On the 1870 census Nancy is surrounded on her street by Lasiters or Laciters born in North Carolina. I thought Josephs father might have been Alex and his mother Isabella down the street and I went backwards on the census to try and put Joseph with them but only found the family in 1860 and 1870, could not locate them in 1850 which would have made Joseph 16 he was born in 1834 Tennessee.
I haven't found their marriage certificate either so if anyone can offer some suggestions on which way I should go with this I would be forever grateful.
Joseph was listed as a blacksmith on the 1860 census

Nancy Rogers Lasiter born 1834 to Dean and Purity Rogers TN

Nancy later married Theodophlus Grant and lived and died in Texas, Grayson Co. Theo is living with her children on the 1880 census.
What happened to Joseph???????

Thanks for any help
Wanda
