Hi Nancy Ann,

Susanna GRANT is a daughter of Burrell/Burwell GRANT and Charlott Featherston. "Robert Reuben" SALMON married Susanna GRANT 1798 in Halifax, Virginia and they relocated to TN, but I believe most of their children were born in Virginia. Richard BRADSHAW (father of the William BRADSHAW that married Robt. R. SALMONs sister Susanna SALMON, also moved to Montgomery, TN.

In 1840, I find a John SALMON living in Montgomery County, TN. Perhaps this John is related to Robert Reuben SALMON.
William BRADSHAW married Susanna SALMON 16th January 1795 in Halifax, and a John SALMON SN (SENIOR) signed, and test Robert SALMON and Henry SALMON. If I'm not mistaken, usually Senior is not mentioned unless there is a Junior. I don't know who the other SALMON/SALMAN men were in the Halifax census, but I thought that I'd include them here.

My connection is with the GRANTS and I'm trying to figure out if Burwell GRANT and his son Charles GRANT had more children then were listed in their wills. Several of this family moved from Halifax County, VA. to Montgomery County, TN., before 1820. I've noticed that a lot of former Halifax residents are listed in the census records for TN and KY. I hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Krissie

3-Maryary SALMON was born about 1824 in Virginia.
4-Robert SALMON was born about 1826 in Tennessee.
