James Grant came from Waterford, Ireland in 1850 via Canada, buffalo and applied for citzenship in Peoria, Il in 1853. He got citzenship in 1856. I have not been able to find him as having been in the Civil WAr. I would appreciate any information you might have.He had 5 chldren, but I only know 5:Mary Grant; BEE Grant (beatrice?), jamie Grant (1865-1894),Thomas (1859-1936 and Margaret.
