We have Granger descendants living right there in France.I met them at the second World Acadian Congress in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1999.If THEY can't dig out the records, I doubt that anyone can.
However, "never say never."Perhaps one of these days someone will find the record in some little obscure Catholic Church which, before the 1900s in the USA, were the most verifiable chroniclers of births, deaths, and marriages.Or in some tucked away land record, tax record, et cetra.
Brick walls were made to be broken down.We are all trying to do just this.
Now, are you aware that on March 5th NBC, in association with Genealogy.com, is going to air the first in a series of tracing ancestors.Right now they are doing this on celebrities. Why don't you post the following in FIVE other forums (I have posted in Granger, Bland, Chaisson, Peveto and Tippett):
SUBJECT:Can't find ancestors?Watch NBC on March 5th!
MESSAGE:On March 5th NBC, in association with Genealogy.com, will air the first of a continuing series, tracing our ancestors.Be sure to watch. We don't know where this show is going but it is sure to benefit ALL of us.Why don't YOU post this message in five OTHER surname forums?
If you will write down this message, word for word, and post it in five OTHER forums, maybe we can get the word out across the USA by March 5th.I hope it takes off like wildfire!
