Graham family, butchers in Glasgow, 1850-1927
Duncan Graham was born in Lennieston, Perthshire in 1817 and died in Glasgow in 1871.He was a flesher (butcher) and had a butcher shop in Main Street, Glasgow from 1851 or earlier.
He married Elizabeth Forsyth and had at least four sons: James, William, George and Duncan. They all worked as butchers for their father and continued to run the shop after his death. The brothers later had butcher shops in New City Road and Vincent Street up to 1927.
David Graham possibly a relative, had a butchers shop at Rutherglen as late as 1942.
Duncan's brother John, sisters Catharine and Mary and nephew James emigrated to Australia. I am descended from James and would like to get in touch with any of Duncan's descendants.
