Hi Rick. Thanks for the inquiry.Hopefully I can answer your questions. It appears that even though our "Davids" have a common surname, similarities fly off in different directions from there. My David J. Graham was born on Feb 11, 1828, in Richland County Ohio.He had 3 wives.
#1 was Rhoda Imes (married Sep 4, 1851; birth/death dates and places unk). They had 2 sons James Wilson Graham (b. 1852 in Ohio) and John B. Graham (born in 1854 and died in infancy).
***NOTE - family moves to Iowa in 1855 (Polk County?)
#2 was Elizabeth Lawson (born 11/25/1835 in PA).They married on Dec 2 1855 in Polk County, Iowa. She died on Apr 19, 1874 and was buried at Kinsey / Lawson Cemetery in Polk County, Iowa. They had 10 children: William Elmer Graham (b 1857, Iowa); Mary Catherina/e (b 1859, Iowa) ***NOTE - at this time, the family moved to Missouri. David J. enlists in the US Army - 35th Missouri Infantry (Union, not Confederate).Children continue: David Martin (b. 1866 in Missouri); Harry N. (b. 1867, Missouri); George E. (b. 1868, Missouri); Benjamin Franklin (b. 1872, Missouri). ***NOTE - Moves back to Iowa in 1874/75.Baby son and daughter born/died in 1874. Elizabeth dies Apr 19, 1874 and is buried at the Kinsey / Lawson Cemetery in Polk County, Iowa.
#3 was Mary A. Hammond.They married on Apr 30, 1876 in Polk County, Iowa.Her birth/death info is unknown.They had 2 sons. Melville Jackson (b. 1877, Iowa) and Charles H. (b. 1880).
That's about it for David J. and his offspring. As far as I know, I don't have another James Graham in our lineage. There may be others, but I haven't heard of any.David J's grandfather was another David (b. 1765 in PA).He may have a brother named James.
I hope this helps you.Even bad news is good news - it either confirms or denies what you may have.As a footnote - please remain suspect of the dates I gave you as I have neither confirmed nor denied this information.Let me know how this ties in with you.RAG
