Augusta Montrose Graham was Lewis Dudley Henry's aunt. She was married to Michael D. Henry, Esq. of New York City. Michael had graduated from Rutgers in 1783. Dr. Charles Graham of New York City, another uncle of Lewis, had a brother, Edward who was a lawyer in New Bern, NC. Lewis Dudley Henry was the son of Dr. Robert Rosborough Henry, Surgeon of the 2nd New Hampshire in the Revolution. Lewis was born in New Jersey and went to Princeton. After graduating, he went to New Bern to study law with his relative Edward Graham. Lewis had six daughters and one son (Jr.). He ran for governor of N.C. on the Democratic ticket in 1842. Another brother, Armstead Churchill Henry, also moved to N.C. He had five children. So, there are a lot of relatives in N.C.I am related through Dr.Robert R. Henry, Lewis' father, he was my fourth great grand father.
