Hi Graham

It appears you have extensively researched the Graham/Grayham family in NC.

I have conflicting information on one of my ancestors, and I wonder if you can shed any light on it. I am descended from William Elmore and Ester Strader. Wm's mother was Lidda/Lydia Grayham who was married to Peter Elmore. Peter was born in North Farnham Parrish VA 12-10-1733, died 1812 Haw River. Lidda is the dau of Wm and Rachel Graham. Wm Grayham was born abt 1725 Fairfax, VA and died 1807-1809 Caswell Co, NC. There is a will floating around on the web but I can't put my hands on it at the moment.

There are other reports that this Peter was married to Lidda's sister, Polly. Net another place says Lidda was married to Peter's brother, John.

Wm Elmore and Ester Strader came to Brush Creek, Green Co., KY. Local oral tradition has they are buried in unmarked graves in the Elmore cemetery where their son Peter and his wife Eliz Victor are buried.

I have not researched that far back yet, but I wonder since you have this treasure trove of legit data, if you can shed any light on this.

Side note: Wm and Rachael Grayham had a son also named Wm born 1750 and died 1846 in Bardstown, KY. That is where I live.

I don't research very often so pls take your time answering.

Thanks very much for your help.
Karen Elmore
