Hello Marian
:)Yes, we have communicated before.Several years ago, I was doing a monument cross referencing system for Grahams in 6 border parishes and you were so kind to donate many names for Scaleby.
I was never able to push my Graham line back beyond John Graham born a bt 1744 who had married twice: Margaret Forsyth 1774(Kirklinton) and Rachel Hartness 1790 (Bowness on Solway). He had 11 sons between 2 marriages and all lived in Kirklinton parish, Cumberland Co, England in Riggyeat and Mount Farm.
Keep hoping someday, someone, over there will come forward so I can make a connection.I came back statewise and have pursued Johns youngest son, David, in Wisconsin (that was the cemetery dedication) I had accounted for all his children and grandchildren except for one, a daughter named Sarah. Now, after 4 1/2 months, 6 states, 4 volunteers, 3 microfilms, 2 county historical societies, I have finally found her.Of all things, she is buried practically in my backyard in Spangle, WAshington, just outside of Spokane where I live.Long way from Wisconsin!
Ahhhh, the quest goes on but at least I have closed the circle on David's family :)
Delia
