The Gragg's go back to Northern Ireland 1690 with certainty.The family does have roots in Scotland but was either forced or asked to emigrate to Northern Ireland.Some professional historians and genealogist have linked the Gragg's to the "Children of the Mist".This is the reference to the Mac Gregor family which was persecuted by the English and forced many in that clan to change their name since Mac Gregor was officially outlawed by an act of the Crown.I have no evidence of Viking connections but that is a possiblity since Grieg is an old Norse name and their appears to be connections.
