Hi All
Chasing every possible lead to try and work out the ancestry of my great grandfather, James Jeffery Royce.
We can't find him on any census, nor can we find a birth certificate.
He may have been born in South Africa, in Worthing in Sussex, in Herefordshire, Hay on Wye or Eardisley.
Anyway, my gran says she remembers him talking about a Miss Grafton who was a benefactoress to him.
Does this ring any bells with anyone?
