Thanks for responding. Yes, Marvin and Pearl Hansell had a daughter named Bessie Rose, my aunt Bessie. My mom is the second daughter, Mary Ellen. Then Nancy Ruth and Arvard Jay.

Is there something written on this Grafton line? I know we are descended from Charles II via the Earl of Grafton. Or is it the Duke of Grafton? But I don't know where the line goes that gets us to our gg grandfather.

Are there any left in the Francesville area? Our Grafton line stopped with my grandmother's generation, beause they were all girls.

By the way, it's nice to 'meet' a family member!

Oh, and I always wanted to know: Are we related to Sue Grafton who writes te mystery novels?
