Batavia (Illinois) Herald, Jan. 3, 1907 Corn Shredder Victim at Bartlett The dreaded corn shredder that has left its trail well marked added another victim to its already long list, whom Gus Graff had his right arm badly mangled. Graff is a renter on the Humbracht farm near Bartlett. While feeding the machine his arm became entangled in some of the stalks, and before he could withdraw his arm it had been lacerated. Physicians decided that amputation was necessary, amputating a portion of his right arm. ------------ Posted as a courtesy.
