I see you also wrote asking about any DNA Maybe being done on the Groff line. I read so many folks that say they descend from Hans Groff blah blah, or Swamp John Groff, yet there seems to be a lack of DNA participants. My wall is about where you say yours is. Late 1700 my Grandfather Joseph Groves was born in Virginia and wound up in Illinois as an early settler. His father is a Jacob Grof/Graff etc... son of a John Groff who came supposedly in early 1700's. Go figure. Anyway, my point is that you need to find a relative with the Grass, Groves etc... name that you share with them, and have them dna tested. Once the name wound up Cooper, you went on the maternal side of the DNA fence. Sorry. I have had my brother tested, his last name is Groves, and so far no matches. Notify Administrator about this message?
