Searching for ancestors or descendants of this family: This family emmigrated sometime between 1867 when Sarah was born and 1869 when Mary was born. Barbara immigrated in 1865 per the 1910 census record. Barbara's maiden name (or possibly her name from her first marriage) is Graf/Graeff/Graef per cemetery records at Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. In the 1880 census all the children have American sounding names except for the youngest, Krekorio/Gregory. I think the older children were able to state their names for the census taker except for Gregory. Krekorio/Gregory is 10 years younger than his closest sibling in this census record which makes me wonder if this is a second marriage for Michael. 1900 U.S. Census SCHULTES, Barbara, head, age 59, Dec 1840, GER GER GER Day Labor Married 22 years, 3 children and 2 living. I think she meant that she had 3 children living but only two were living with her. Gregory is obviously still living in 1910. 1910 U.S. Census Ohio, HAMILTON, Roll 1191 Book 1, Page 206b SCHULTES Barbaria, age 70 Head, F, married 2X 30 years, 7 children, 3 living, immigrated 1865, 279 Mulberry St. SCHULTES Gregory, age 29, Married 1X, 10 years, (living with his mother and two sons). If she is stating that her last marriage was 30 years in duration then she would have married to Michael about 1880 confirming a second marriage for Michael (and for herself). She also states in the 1910 census that she has borne seven children but only three are living. Gregory and Earl are actually Barbara's grandchildren and the children of Gregor Schultes and Florence Frederick Schultes. Gregor and Florence divorced about this time and both subsequently remarried. Gregor had a daughter by his second wife but Florence did not have any other children.
