Bernadette, I haven’t been successful in my first hunt looking for the Gracey/Gracie marriages with Wright and McCleary in the north of Ireland.Did you try the earlier census1841 and 1851 for each spelling at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/?I picked up a ref and have lost the source but apparently "The Scotsman Magazine," est 1739, often features history and travel articles in the last few years by James Gracie, covering the Kilmarnock area. I didnt also find any clues for births in IRE or SCO of the first generation.
There are at least two Gracey studies going on in the north of Ireland, one is really a one name study similar to my own interests but with organised data! that might become listed as such, another with more international coverage is similar. So lets hope that happens.Hoping that someone else will give you answers asap, Jim
