ROBERT GRACEY MARRIED TO NANCY WHOM I BELIEVE TO BE ANN CAMPBELL.BOTH WERE BORN IN IRELAND IN 1840.THESE ARE MY GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS

ROBERT J GRACEY BORN BLACKBURN IN 1862 MARRIED TO ANNIE SPEAKMAN IN BLACKBURN 1884
THIS IS MY GREAT GRANDFATHER.SOURCE 1901 CENSUS AND BMD.HIS SIBLINGS WERE CALLED ANDREW, ANN E (THIS IS THE ONE WHO WAS BORN IN IRELAND) ,ELLEN ,WILLIAM,SAMUEL,AND JOSEPH.ROBERT J WAS THE ELDEST.

HIS SON ROBERT GRACEY BORN 1885 MARRIED MARGARET JANE FIELDEN IN 1908 IN BLACKBURN.THESE ARE MY GRANDPARENTS.MY GRANDMOTHER DIED WHEN MY MOTHER WAS 15 THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN IN 1938 APPROX.SHE WAS BURIED IN TURTON NR BOLTON IN ST ANNES CHURCH BUT THERE WAS NO GRAVE MARKER ONLY A ROSE BUSH WHICH I COULD NOT FIND AFTER SO MANY YEARS IT HAS MOST LIKELY DIED.



THIS ROBERT WAS A QUARTER MASTER SERGEANT IN THE ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORP.HE IS THE ONE WHO DIED IN 1923

THE ABOVE HAD 3 CHILDREN MY MOTHER ELSIE GRACEY BORN 1923 AND A SON JAMES GRACEY, BORN 1913 OR 1908 SOME DISPUTE ABOUT THIS THERE WAS ALSO ANOTHER SON WHO DIED WITH HIS FATHER [ROBERT J GRACEY] IN ST ASAPH IN 1923 IN FLU EPEDEMIC, I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SON.

MY MOTHER ELSIE GRACEY MARRIED FRANK MARSDEN IN 1947.

MY MOTHERS BROTHER JAMES WAS ALSO IN THE ARMY HE WAS A QUARTER MASTER SERGEANT I THINK HE WAS IN THE BORDER REGIMENT HE WAS BASED AT 14 MU CARLISLE CUMBRIA AND WAS MARRIED TO SOMEONE CALLED CHRISTINE I AM TRYING TO TRACE HIS MARRIAGE AND DEATH ON 1837 ONLINE.


I AM THE ONE WHO MARRIED A CURRAN I HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED TO TRACE MY HUSBANDS FAMILY BUT THEY WERE FROM SOUTHERN IRELAND.

THE ARMAGH CONNECTION COMES FROM THE SISTER OF ROBERT J GRACEY MY GREAT GRANDFATHER HER NAME WAS ANN E GRACEY AND SHE WAS BORN IN IRELAND IN 1866 I FOUND A REFERENCE TO THIS BIRTH IN ARMAGH BUT I WILL HAVE TO SEARCH IT OUT AGAIN.

i HAVE NOT FOUND ELIZA GRACEY YET IN BLACKBURN I WILL HAVE TO SEARCH FOR HER POSSIBLE A SISTER OF ROBERT BORN 1840 TO YOUNG TO BE HIS MOTHER THANKS FOR THAT BIT OF INFORMATION.


ROBERT GRACEY MY GRANDFATHER LIVED WITH HIS FATHER AND MOTHER ON SPRING BANK TERRACE BLACKBURN IN 1901 HE HAD SIBLINGS CALLED WILLIAM, CLARA ,BERTHA, MARY AND JOSEPH THEY WERE ALL YOUNGER THAN HIM.

THE ROBERT WHO DIED IN 1883 AGED 44 WAS MY GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER .
