Hi Jim,

Well - I have a problem I don't know which Grace family I am looking for. My 5th great grandparents Stephen Sisney and Dolly Holton had a daughter Mary born around 1782?. She is mentioned in Stephen's will in 1823 in Christian County, KY, as Mary Grace and her sister is listed as Rachel Taylor. So, I think that Grace is Mary's married name. Stephen and Dolly moved to Christian County around 1808. As you know there are many Grace families in Christian County in 1820 and 1830. There was a Joseph, William and Nancy living just a few houses away from Stephen and Dolly in 1820. Also, I found a Joseph Grace who died of a cold at age 64, Apr 7, 1852, at Pond Row, Pond River, Christian County. This is all I have to go on which is like the proverbial "needle in the haystack." But oh I would love any type of lead or suggestions. It has been well established that Mary's father Stephen was a Tory. I have quite a bit of information on his Tory activities. Stephen and his buddy Samuel Deviney were mentioned several times as prisoners together and of the group that shot Capt. Dent in "cold blood." One other item Stephen's son William Stephen Sisney went to Illinois most likely before his father died in 1823 and died there in 1860 - so there is some Illinois connection. Thanks very much for answering my query, and I look forward to hearing from you.
