Hi Jim,

Thanks for emailing me concerning the Grace family. I did find quite a few Grace fellows in the 1820 and 1830 Christian County census. Nancy Deviney is interesting to me because of a Samuel Devenny (Diviney) who was arrested with Mary Grace's father Stephen Sisney in 1776 in Guilford County, NC. They were Tories and were sent to Frederick Town, MD. The were arrested as part of the group that "shot Captain Dent in cold blood." In 1820 Nancy is living a few houses away from Stephen and Robert (his son) Sesseny. Are you familiar with any of the other Graces that were in the Kentucky area at that time: Clement, Elijah, Elkanah, and Greenbury? Also, in 1830 in Christian County there are several Graces: Clement, Denny, Joseph, Samuel, Solomen, William. Are you researching the Grace family? I would really appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks again.
