My grandfather, on my father's side of the family, was named Fritz Grabowski. He came from the 'Masuren' -> nowadays a region in the east of Poland and settled down in Demmin (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) after the Second World War. Together with his wife Maria Cecilie Wunsch he had eight children, who are now living spread all over the region of the former German Democratic Republic!
