Hello: I am looking for information on Richard W. Grabe who lived in Silver City, NM and Globe AZ in the late 1800s and early 1900s. My interest is that I recently purchased an old Colt revolver that belonged to him. In addition to the pistol I have his holster and some modern prints of old photos of him and his family. I would like to know more about him, his occupation, family, and any information as to why he felt the need to buy and wear a long-barreled Colt .44. Any information or contacts you can offer will be appreciated. Information in the Silver City newspaper archives suggest that he had a brother named George, was originally from Pennsylvania (possibly from Pittsburg), and was either a brick manufacturer or mason.
