Hi Denise, Yes, I would like the information you have. Joseph and Mary are my wife’s great great grandparents. Her grandmother, Olivine Goyette, was the daughter of Joseph Goyette (1876) and Marie-Louise Bombardier. So you’re Alethia’s second cousin once removed. If you send me an E-mail I can give more personal information. I wonder if you have some of the information I’m looking for. Do you have the names of Joseph (1850) and Marie’s parents? I have been looking for proof that Marie’s name was Lebeau. There must have been at least a dozen Joseph Goyettes who married Maries in Quebec and New England in the late 1800’s. There was a Joseph Alexandre Goyette married 9.2.1875 St-Athanase, Iberville, Quebec to Marie Lebeau. Do you know if that was our Joseph and Marie? Do you know anything about when Joseph (1850) and Marie came to the States? According to the 1900 census in Pawtucket, they had come to the States in 1869, and they had been married 25 years. Did they go back to Iberville to get married, or were they married in Pawtucket? Here's the information from the family plot: All buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. date of burial indicated 2 June, 1902 Joseph Goyette, age 52 6 June, 1906 Joseph Goyette, a child 22 July,1907 Camille Goyette, age 28 1 Aug, 1910 Pierre Goyette, age 32 1 Feb, 1916 Mrs. Camille (Leah) Goyette 2 Oct, 1918 Evelina Jubinville 26 Mar, 1934 M. Goyette 9 Feb, 1984 Mary I. Goyette, age 91 [maybe wife of Hector?] Do you know who Emma Lebeau is? Here's an obituary of my wife's great grandfather Pawtucket Times May 5, 1953 JOSEPH GOYETTE Joseph Goyette, 76, husband of Melvina (Contois) Goyette died last night in Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, formerly residing at 111 Prospect street. He was a member of Conseil No. 18, Union St. Jean Baptiste d’Amerique of Central Falls. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Euclide of Pawtucket and Roland of New Bedford; five daughters, Mrs. Antonio Fortin of Seekonk, Mrs. Romeo Delorme of Pawtucket, Mrs. Henry Cloutier of Downey, Calif, Mrs. Raoul Moreau and Miss Lena Goyett, both of Pawtucket; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Exelia Bombardier of Pawtucket¸ five brothers, Adelard, Wilfred, Hector and Philias, all of Pawtucket, and Leodore of Louisville, Ky.
