Larry...are you Dennis's brother who lives in Warrenton ?? I have loads of information on the Gowers in Wake County. They originally came to Johnston County from Brunswick County Va. If your grandfather was Ebon Gower then our line is pretty much the same. Ebon's father was Thomas Gower who was married to Mollie Smith(Arrowsmith). Thomas's father was William Gower who was married to harriet Holt. William's father was Zachariah Gower married to Theny Massengil...I forget the other wife's name. Zachariah's father was William Gower and his father was John Gower who was born in Brunswick County Va and wife Rosemon Fielding. All I have seen is John's father is Abel Gower.
