Jerry,
Thanks so much for your response. Are the Smith names and dates that you mentioned written in the same Gower family Bible that gives Sarah Smith (b. Dec. 25, 1829) and Matthew Gower's marriage and children?I don't have a clue as to who these Smiths are.I am 100% positive of who Sarah Smith who married Matthew Gower was.I have proof of her identity not only from her birth date from her father's family Bible and her marriage record to Matthew in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, but also from other documents I have copies of in which Sarah's father names Matthew Gower as his son-in-law.In the fairly extensive information I have on Sarah's family, there are no Smiths in Ohio or Wisconsin. So these Bible entries seem to be a mystery--one that I would certainly love to solve. Can you shed any light on this by telling me anything about where/in what context, etc. in the Gower Bible this William & July Ann & all information is recorded?Perhaps we could arrange for you to either scan & email or photocopy & snail mail those Gower Bible pages to me.I would be very grateful for any assistance you would be willing to provide.
Lavone
