I, John GOWEN being afflicted by the hand of Almighty God...
(ment's some property already given to children -- to remain their property)
to my son Winn B GOWEN -- a tract in Greenville Dist on both sides of M Tyger R beginning at the mouth of a creek on the north side below the Mill...etc
to my dau Letty -- a plantation known by Anne EASLEYs Place, etc
to my dau Minerva -- a tract of land on the south side of Saluda where my son James GOWEN attended, etc (ment's her mother's saddle)
to my dau Elizabeth WOODSON -- a tract of land on Tygar R called SULSIAs Place
to my son James GOWEN -- 800 ac ...begin[ning] at the foard of the river on S Pacolate now used between here and where he now lives and thence a north course to include the school house spring where DAVIS teach'd and thence round to a line to be made for John RODDY, thence to the beginning so as to include the JAMISON fields
to my grandson John GOWEN son of William dec'd -- all the lands between what I have given Winn and Litty, etc

Do you have any other spellings for the SULSIA's place?

You will notice the will was rec'd by the Ordinary of Spartanburg Dist. (I will appreciate another transcription or abstract and any thoughts as to the location of John GOWEN.)
