Jean,

I have only read the census in Monroe Co., Ohio and have not gotten into deeds.

Betty belives Robert Goudy, who married Margaret Findley, was born ca 1767 and died Monroe Co. ca 1837. Since son John, she says, was born 2 Sept. 1799 she believes the marriage of Robert and Margaret was 1798/9. On the 1850 census Margaret returns age 70. It's possible Margaret was his second wife, but no one has suggested that to me.

Cathy
