Goudy b. 1775 in PA md. Margaret Finley b.1736 in PA. Alexander's brother Adam b. 1832 in PA is our direct ancester. You may e-mail me for more info.'
The birth date she shows for her Robert Gowdy must be wrong, since it is four years before his supposed son. This Robert would be old enough to also be my Robert's uncle. Interesting that the son is also a John like my Robert's brother. My Robert was born in Guilford Co., NC and married Mary Anderson in about 1797 in Tennessee. The Finleys and Goudy/Gowdy's mentioned above could be cousins.
