Many thanks, Linda, for posting the transcriptions. I am not fully awake yet (slept in to 5 a.m. ;) but have printed things out. Isn't it great when there was a squabble? Such a lovely paper trail in court. I wish everybody doing genealogy would think of court records.
To answer your question: John and Ann Gowdy had these children: Andrew, John, William, Robert, Thomas, Ann who married James Bull in Greene Co., OH on Nov. 8, 1804, and Nancy who married Jesse Law, also in Greene Co., on Aug. 14, 1811.
Looks like John G. Law, s/o Jesse Law, mentioned in the court records, is probably the son of the Jesse Law who married Nancy Gowdy; bet his middle name was Gowdy. I've never followed the Law family so do not know the names of the children of this marriage.
