I have an Adeline JAMES b. abt 1801 or slightly after md. to a GOWDY and parent of at least one dtr named Fanny Gowdy b. after 1820 who married Manny MCELVEEN and had 3 or more children: Ola, Denise McElveen MCFADDEN, and Jack. I know nothing about the Gowdy, but that they lived in the Darlington/Florence area of South CArolina in the early 1800's. Does anyone connect?
