There would be a possibility of a relationship, since I think most of the Gows in that area of Scotland were probably related to each other somehow. The fact that yours came over about the same time is a possibility too. I don't have a passenger list. My information came from a short biography on David and Grace Gow that I found in a history book for Northern PA. It mentioned that they came to New York Harbor from Scotland on or around August 15-23 of the year 1840. I have not yet pursued getting a passenger list yet although that tentative date greatly narrows down the time frame in which I have to look. Hopefully, by the end of the year I will have been able to obtain that information. It will be interesting to see how many other Gows were on that ship.
