Sherrilyn, the Goldman Family in Crawford Co., Indiana,
were Methodists. Rev. John Goldman was a minister there
for many years and married my grandparents, David Henry
Crews and Samantha Elsie Enlow. They were married in Rev.
Goldman's church in Mifflin, Patoka Twp. Rev. Goldman
was an Uncle of David Crews' mother, Sarah Elizabeth
Goldman, who married Jeremiah Richard Crews, Sheriff of
Crawford Co., Indiana, for many years.
There is a Francis Goldman living in Crawford Co. which
makes me wonder if they are from the Essex Co., Va.
Gouldman Family. They may be from Germany before they
moved to England, then to America. I don't know.
The name originally could describe a golden blonde headed
man or a trade name for a Jeweler who worked in gold.
