I have a messy bunch of names and dates. Can anyone enlighten me?
The area is: Como/Hudson/Vaudreil, Quebec
Time period: 1840-1860
I have Elizabeth Gowling -m- Joseph Awde (m-1842)
Elizabeth Gowling -m- Joseph Allen (m-1842)
the children of these two marriages overlap, I will list them in birth order:
John Allen 1843-1843
Bridget Allen 1845-
Jane Allen 1846-
Elizabeth Allen 1849-
Diana Allen 1851-
Sarah Allen 1852-1853
Mary Ann Allen 1854-
Lousea Awde 1857-
Joseph Awde(dec.)1857-
Goerge Awde 1860-1908
My grandfather's first wife was Dianna Awde 1851-1912 and it seems likely she was from this family also.
By 1870 I have Joseph Awde1815 (the Father),Joseph Awde (the son)1857,George Awde 1860,Lousa Awde1857,Dianna Awde 1851 all in the town of Pierrepont,Saint Lawrence Co.,NY.
Either I'm working with two different Families here,or marriage dates have been switch.
I do have more names and dates either side of this mess, but didn't want to confew the question farther.
Any thing anyone can add to this I would be grateful.
