My mother's maiden name was Goulding. Her father was Frank Carl Goulding, son of George Pearley Goulding, son of George William Pearley Goulding, born 16 June 1840, NY, married Marilla J. Tucker, NH and died 17 May, 1904, Butler, Custer Co., OK. His father's name was William, but I do not know his birthdate or death date. I believe he was from Canada, but was living with his son and daughter-in-law in NH for awhile. Family lore indicates George William's father (William) was originally from Ireland and that he lost his parents when he was very young. His parents had gone out on an excusion ferry, a sudden storm came up and the ferry capsized. George William was a "moulder" in a foundry in or around Thornton, Grafton Co, NH, around 1860-1870. He moved his family to Atchison, KS, Spokane, WA and back to OK where he passed away. Any information as to his family would be very helpful.
