I am looking for some connections to my deceased grandmother's Irish born parents, John C. and Mary (Sheehan) Goulding. They were arrive immigrants who settled in Somerville, Massachusetts, and had two daughters (Eileen and Kathryn). John was born in 1877 in Ireland (could be someplace in Cork) but I found information about a John Goulding who sailed to New York from Ireland in 1908 on the Lusitania. Although I can't be certain, I believe it could have been him, for the personal stats of the John Goulding on the Lusitania ship manifest match my great grandfather's. He was a short guy (5'3"). The manifest said he was going to stay with a brother in San Francisco, but I could not make out the brother's name. He said he had mother, Mrs. Goulding, on Church Street, in Lismore, Ireland. I am not 100 sure this could have been him, but the stats and timing do match. My grandmother said the family owned a pub, which I believe was called GOULDINGS. In the early 80s, when she went there for vacation, she found the pub. If anyone has any information about them, please let me know. Best wishes, Michael Reid Notify Administrator about this message?
