GOULDING FAMILY, 1800'S-GA AND TEXAS

Looking for any information on Gouldings who were from GA early 1800's; some later families moved to TX.

The first Goulding I can find is Thomas Goulding, born ca 1818, supposedly in Lumpkin Co, GA. I think he married someone named Mariah but not sure. She is said to have been born in England. Nine (9) children were born to them between 1840 and 1856; some in Stewart Co, GA. They were: Sarah; James Trigg; Margaret; Carolyn; Doratha; William; John T.; Anne; and Mary Frances. James Trigg Goulding is believed to have been a soldier in the Civil War and buried in Shanks Cemetery in Freestone Co, TX. The only two children that I have any info on are:

(1.) John T. Goulding, born May, 1852 in GA; died between 1908-1920 in TX. Married Rhoda Ann Smith (this is not verified), born ca 1852 in GA and died ca 1898 in TX. Children born to them ca 1875-1893 were: George, W. Harmon, Charles T., Marshall Franklin (my grandfather), Annie, Ella Rae, Susan Emma.

(2.) Mary Frances Goulding, born GA, Dec. 1856, died January, 1933. Married James Henry Keyes, Dec 1881 in Freestone Co, TX.

After Rhoda's death, John T. Goulding married a 2nd time to Mary Mae Brown/Baker (her name is hearsay) in Sept 1904 in Freestone Co, TX. They had 2 children: John T., born ca 1905 and Willie Faye, ca 1908. This John T. Goulding married Allie Mae Tinker Burney. They are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Corsicana, Navarro Co, TX. It is family story that for a period of time, John T. born ca 1905, changed the spelling of Goulding to Golden. No one knows why, but some time later on he changed it back to Goulding.

Sorry to say, but a lot of this information is not verified; wish it was, but it's all I have at this point.

Can anyone provide me with more information on the above?
