I am just getting interested in my ancestors. My father was George Albert Goulder born in Melbourne (suburb of Moreland) Victoria Australia. I believe we are decended from the Hugenots in France who emigrated to the Malvern Hill in the 18C to escape persecution from the catholics. Elias Goulder was transported as a convict to Port Arthur in the mid 19th C. I would love to hear from anyone who add anything to these sketchy details. (I have a book with further information which I have temporarilly mislaid but will be back later to share it with you when I find it.
