I've found no documentation that can push my family tree back before 1731, and frankly before 1758 is problematical. Moreover, there is no inkling that my Goulds are descended from John the Crusader, and there is even less for possible descent from Zacchaeus Gould, since my family was never in Bucks and didn't immigrate until 1818.
As a result, my only way at the moment to demonstrate the linkage - or the denial of linkage of my Gould family to either John the Crusader or Zacchaeus Gould is through y-DNA testing. We then need a comparison of our results to someone who for certain is descended from either or both. As it stands right now, my family is related, but thousands of years in the past, assuming we have a comparison with a definite descendant
Surprisingly, the families of both my parents are related by marriage with two unrelated Gould families
