Since I posted my query, I have learned that Anna Eliza Gould was the second wife of Absalom Newell of Weathersfield, VT. I don't have a marriage date, but it would have to be after 4 July 1862, which is when Absalom's first wife, Mary M. Cooper, died. He died 5 Oct 1868. He and his two daughters by Anna are buried in the Ascutneyville Cemetery, Windsor Co., VT. I have not yet learned when Anna died [it would be after the 1920 census was taken] or where she is buried.
I still need some proof that Sarah Mehitable Gould Gardner and Anna Eliza Gould Newell were sisters. "Ann E.",17, is with her parents [Ebenezer and Lurana Gould] on the 1850 Hampton, Washington, NY census, but Sarah was not listed with them. She might be the one listed with Chas. Gardner on the 1850 Hampton, Washington, NY census. Their ages are wrong, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. If she was already married in 1850, I will need some other sort of proof that she [Sarah] is the daughter of Ebenezer and Lurane (Dunklee) Gould.
