My great grandfather was Robert (Howe)de Tracy-Gould, youngest son of the Hon James Gould and Sally (Tracy). Born 1818 in Litchfield Connecticut, died Nelson New Zealand 1888.
He had one son with his principal wife, Elizabeth Page (London) being Alfred de Tracy Gould.
Alfred de Tracy Gould had two sons, both born in Nelson New Zealand. Geoffery and Graeme. Graeme born 1918, died 1997 is my father. I am one of 5 brothers and 1 sister, all born Nelson New Zealand.
I am keen to make contact with any of the descendants of the children of the Hon. James Gould and Sally McCurdy Tracy (daughter of Uriah Tracy).
From literature and family oral history, we beleive Robert Howe de Tracy Gould was the only one of the family to emigrate to New Zealand, via london England.
