Thanks, Jay. I'm just starting on my Gough's. I still need George's birth certificate (which will show his Mother's name). His marriage cert says her name is Hannah or Anna. The 1850 Census lists her as Ann. Now that I know the date of the ship's arrival I will check the passenger list.
All I have on James is his naturalization cert, which states that he was born in Newbury, Berks. England on 31 Dec 1794. He arrived here in 1841, was naturalized in 1849 and I believe he died in 1853. I'm checking probate records on Monday which may turn up more info. I have 7 children for him born between 1817 and 1839, but none between 1820 and 1830, so that needs more checking. Sue
