I'm having a problem sorting out my Williams. Did William and Lucy (Byram) Gough of Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia have a son William, and if so was he born 17 February 1755 and fathered children William, Mildred, Bailey, Jesse, Thomas, Ann, Sarah and Lucy? Or, was his name William Robert Gough, Sr., born abt. 1746 who married Judith Taylor and settled in Butler Co., Kentucky? And to the former list of names, were they actually children of Francis and Verlinda (Peck) Gough?
