Hi Dennice
Most of my information is on the the Lidgate side starting with my great great grandfather Duncan. All I have is my Grangmother's name Adele Poirier.

Not sure if I got this right, just a touch confused.

(Is Ellen Brule and Adelia sisters?)
Ellen Brule - mother of Adelia, Sarah, Joseph Jr., Cecilia, Victoria, Peter (Pierre), Edward, James, Adolphus, Louise, Ellen, Isabell. (all but Adolphus and Edward had (in my database) unions that provided issue (recorded)

Do you know where the name Poirier came from? - With printouts of family trees from the Sooke Museum (one has to prove that they are members of the family surname - I have POIRIER, BRULE, BROWN, GOUDIE (there are others that interconnect with mine - I am not sure if the service is still provided ($25 per surname) as well as a copy of "The History and the Heartbeat - Sooke History" (none left from that - some excerpts can be found on my first site listed in my signature - which I will post - look to "Grandmother of the West" link - which speaks to the POIRIER, BRULE, VAUTRIN, GOUDIE - and so much more.

Ellen Brule married Joseph POIRIER who was born about 1835 in the Province of Quebec, Canada (close as information as I have got at this time)

(I have the info that Margaret Grieg married my great grandfather William Lidgate.)

Margaret GRIEG (Oct 1858) married William Duncan LIDGATE

Margaret GRIEG's parents were Margaret GOUDIE (15 Sep 1830 - 30 Dec 1914) married John GRIEG (1825 - 14 Oct 1892) their 13 children - the GRIEF and LIDGATE surnames are of particular interest to Laurel lkatnernick AT shaw DOT ca (my computer recently crashed so only going by memory on her email addy) - if you continue through my site you will find a link to her genealogy site "Now and Then" which also contains links to her newsletter.

(I have wondered about my grandmother's side of the family, she died before I was born, now I have some names to start
looking into.)
