I finally found my book. Family Genealogyfor Lawrence, Goucher, Stanley, Wilson, et al.
Book of Marriages for Sussex Co., NJ in Newton, entry reads:
14 Mar 1838 1818Goucher, Samuel to Jane Vansile (Van Zile), Hardwick
1850 Ripley Co., IN census:
Goucher, Samuel P. 59farmer. Jane, 57. Children listed: William, 28; John, 22; David, 18; Reuben, 17; (Richard is not listed but he would have been 23 or so and could have been out on his own already) (a letter from John to his brother & sister indicates there was another sister, Catherine who married Elias Frost and a brother, Richard) MaryAnn (Goucher) Lawrence, 32 lived next door and was married to Richard Morris Lawrence with children of their own. There are several other Goucher's mentioned but it gets pretty confusing unless you're looking for something specific.
Book of Marriages for Harrison Co., MO lists: 27 Dec 1877 Richard Goucher to Mrs. Margaret Wilson.
Bethany, MO newspaper article dated 9 Nov 1892 reads:
"Uncle Dick" Goucher will move to Merriman, Nebraska next week where he expects to make his future home. We hate to see such a good citizen leaving this county.
Please let me know if this helps... or if you have anymore questions.
Carol
