My greatgrandfather, Mendel Gottesman, was born in the late 1950's, emigrated from Mukachevo to the US in the late 1880's, and died in 1942. His father was Dovid Shmuel. Mendel had five children: David Samuel, Helen, Saul, Ben, and Herman. This Gottesman family are Cohanim and has ties to Yeshiva University. Notes indicate that Mendel had a sister, Regina, and a brother, Avraham(?).
