This line of the Gott's has been quite heavily researched by my father Ray Gott GSon of EvanP and brothers Duane and Jerry Gott GSon's of Charles Sr. Special thanks to them, and others yet unknown
Nothing is known of this line prior to Charles and Catherine
Until finding this census recently there was knowledge of at least two sisters from writing on the back of family photo but with no names
The names Charles / Jonas / Evan were used repeatedly throughout the generations adding to the confusion of people researching this line
There was also an older son JAMES B1859 apparently no longer living at home at the time of the census
People researching Gott's in and around Centerville IA (Southeastern) can more than likely trace themselves back to Charles and Catherine, who are both at rest in the Oak View Cemetary in Albia IA
Anyone with anything to add or with questions please e-mail mewith the subject line in all caps "GOTT GENEOLOGY"
