My great grandmother was a Gossmann, she came to America/Nebraska with her 6 children in 1888 (she was widowed and her name then was Christiane Gossmann Friedrich.) It was said that she had a sister, married name Behrens, who sponsored her. She married Charles Herzberg in 1889 and moved from Norfolk, Nebraska to Hot Springs, South Dakota. All I know is that she came from Saxony, Germany, was born in 1849. If this sounds familiar let me know. Thanks. Steve Cox, Fremont, NE
