Mrs. James B Adams
Chesnee - Mrs. Elura G. Adams, 64, of Chesnee Route 1, widow of James B. Adams, died in a Columbia Hospital, 12:10 p m Tuesday after a long illness.
Daughter of the late Irvin and Maggie Gossett, member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Surviving daughters: Mrs. Helen Smythia, Hot Springs Ark; Mrs. Beatrice Gilbert, Mrs. Hazel Johnson, both of Chesnee Route 1; Mrs. Ethel Chapman, Drayton; Mrs Euna Mae Lee, Forest City; sons, Gus Adams, Greenville; Olen Adams of Martinez GA; S Sgt Ben Adams, Spokane WA; Phillips Adams, Junction City Kan; brothers, W. A. Gossett, Drayton; Paul Gossett, Lyman; Fred Gossett, Whitmire; sisters; Mrs. Lola Kennedy, Chesnee; Mrs. Clernis McGinnis, Green Creek, NC; Mrs. Mary Edna Davidson, Chesnee Route 1; 23 grandchildren.

W. A. "Bill" Gossett
William Andrew "Bill" Gossett, 93, of 141 Sunset Street, died Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at Mary Black Memorial hospital. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the husband of Lucille McDowell Gossett and a son of the late Irvin H. and Margaret Sitton Gossett. He was retired from Arkwright Mills and was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters and son-in-law Margaret Bailey of Pacolet and Carolyn and Jerry Dillard of Moore; one son and daughter-in-law Roy and Ellen Gossett of Moore; six grandchildren: David Bailey, Diane Alley, Michael Gossett, Stefanie Kirby, Desda White, and Cassie Bogan; and nine great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Visitation will be from 7- 9:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2002. Funeral services will he at 1:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2002, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. James Carter and the Rev. Robert McCraw. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Skylyn United Methodist Church, 1415 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
