I have finaly got a chance to log on!!!! Yes Sharon I would love to share information, I have Thomas Calvin in my tree, He was a brother to my 2nd great grand father James Abner Gossett, and they are the children of James G. and Eliza Catherine Slaughter, there is evidence that James G was the son of Cavin, who was born in 1796 in VA. I think I am close to the answer of who Cavin was and who his father was. make sure that if you email me that the subject gets my atention, I get spam button happy ! And if I am thinking clearly Thomas Calvin is burried in Joseph or enterprize OR. This will be interesting as to the family migration, James Abner was laid to rest in moscow ID back in the 1930's, I would assume that the family traveld west together or at least knew wear one another was for a generation or two.
