Jacqueline,
I know this is just a bit late, but I ran across your message on Genealogy.com asking "Does anyone have any information on Jeanne Gosselin Arnold, author of the book published in 1983, "A Man Of Faith"? I found this book yesterday at a church bazaar, and in the back she recounts the story of the miraculous cure of the original ancestor, Gabriel Gosselin, at the shrine of Ste- Anne."
I am one of her grandsons.I do have some genealogic information about her, but I won't be able to get to most of it until March sometime.I have recently packed much of my home in preparation for a move in late Jan or early Feb.
She wrote "A Man of Faith" on commission, she had written other books as well. Her first, "The Flesh Recalls" (in the late 1950s) was a book-length love poem, I can't give you the titles of the others by memory. She was a reporter, then editor of the Albany Times-Union newspaper in Albany, NY.
My oldest sister is Carol Jeanne, my daughter is named Elizabeth Jeanne, My father, my son, and I all are Eugene (notice the theme) and we wear the Gene/Jeanne with pride.
(I also have a sister named Jacqueline).
If you respond to this, I'll know you are still out there and I will send you more if you are interested.
