Adolph Goslin (Prussia) 1850's

Adolph supposedly born in/near Berlin about 1843, left to avoid the draft, arrived in St. Paul, Minnesota about 1866, promptly signed up with US Army for a 6 year stint, served with Gen Custer, left before Little Big Horn. This is documented...the irony is left to the reader.

Adolph married Anna Marie Schorers April 15, 1879, fathered 3 children; Harry Goslin, Herbert "Bert" \Goslin, and my g-grandmother, Helen Elizabeth Goslin. I keep an updated family tree at rootsweb. I have copies of Adolph's military records and marriage certificate, willing to share.

Adolph died in Brainard, Minnesota in 1885. Apparently he worked in the Army Corp of Engineers. Adolph drowned in a small creek after falling from a horse. He perhaps had a medical condition which caused the fall. He was carrying the payroll for the army.

I would like to know of Adolph's family, particularily where exactly was he born?
John Dale
